It’s a fine piece of reporting, and be sure to read the details of the 1991 photo shoot. We’ll give CNN a pass on the lyric-referencing overkill (the lede is “All apologies, but here we are now, 17 years after Nirvana’s breakthrough album…”), but the headline (“Naked ‘Nirvana Baby’ Still Chasing Dollars”) is way off. Nevermind cover subject Elden Spencer recently graduated from high school and aspires to be a graphic designer; it’s not like he’s prospecting in the Black Hills or pleading for a wire transfer to Nigeria.
