MP3 At 3PM: Future Of The Left

futureoftheleft400bFuture Of The Left rose from the ashes of Welsh outfit mclusky, bringing with it two-thirds of that band’s lineup and plenty of its fire. The noise-driven rock trio delivers its second album, the 12-track Travels With Myself And Another, in June (on the 4AD/Beggars label), and it’s bound to be a strange, strange trip. While we think there’s a melody buried beneath the fuzz of album opener “Arming Eritrea,” no one’s been brave enough to venture in and find out. This is a positively brutal piece of punk rock that threatens to storm your house, steal your girlfriend and refuse to apologize. How rude.
