Rhett Miller’s Superfriends: Lisa Loeb

rhettmillerlogo100cc2We asked Old 97’s frontman Rhett Miller to guest edit magnetmagazine.com this week, and he pawned it off on a bunch of his famous friends: other musicians, actors, writers and comedians. Well played, Rhett. But you can’t hide behind a self-titled solo album. Rhett Miller (Shout! Factory), a Beatlesque beauty featuring Jon Brion, is out this week.

Lisa Loeb is a great songwriter and a cool chick. She is also a mean cook. Did you know that? Lisa Loeb recommends:

Peanut Butter & Co. peanut butter
I love “Smooth Operator,” their plain creamy peanut butter, delicious on toast, whole-wheat English muffins or on a spoon. Check out all of their flavors. Some of my other recommendations include the self-explanatory “Cinnamon Raisin Swirl” and the nicely spicy flavor “The Heat Is On.”

Guilty Pleasures by Lazlo Bane
A really great album that brings back old memories in a new way, Lazlo Bane‘s Guilty Pleasures includes classics such as “Alone Again,” “The Things We Do For Love,” “Get Right Back” and more. You’ll want to put on your rollerskates or slow dance or go cry in a corner.
