Moon Duo is a new side project of Wooden Shjips’ Erik Johnson and Sanae Yamada. The San Francisco twosome already released a single and an EP earlier this year to critical acclaim and is set to issue its debut full-length, Escape (Woodsist), on February 16. Clocking in at seven minutes, first single “Stumbling 22nd St” capitalizes on a riff and loads it up with fuzz and grunge to create one epic storm of a song.
