Film At 11: The Poison Control Center

Iowa quartet the Poison Control Center is currently touring the U.S. in support of its second full-length, Sad Sour Future, which will be released May 18 via Afternoon Records. The double album was written while each member of the band was living in a different city and covers themes of growing older and world-weariness, but with an oddly cheerful twist. Check out this video for “Being Gone,” which was filmed in the band’s home on a budget of zero and features dudes giving birth, a graveyard concert and a healthy dose of cowbell.

Amazing… This band is so great. Their live shows are transcendant and involve lots of audience participation. I hope these guys blow up huge. Thanks Magnet for paying attention to one of the Midwest’s not-so secret gems!
