Sweden’s Moneybrother (a.k.a. Anders Wendin, formerly of Monster) is finally gracing the U.S. with his presence after issuing four albums in Europe to critical acclaim and winning a Swedish Grammy. And he’s certainly hit the ground running, with the release of stateside debut Real Control (Bladen County) and already sharing American stages with Franz Nicolay, the Love Language, Rhett Miller and Against Me!—most of whom claim to be big fans of Wendin’s soul-oriented brand of rock. Moneybrother took a break from planning more U.S. tour dates for the summer to make MAGNET this mix tape.
