MP3 At 3PM: Wolf Parade

wolfparade4819Canadian quartet Wolf Parade is releasing its third full-length, Expo 86 (Sub Pop), on June 28. It’s the follow-up to 2008’s At Mount Zoomer and was produced with the help of Howard Bilerman, former drummer of Arcade Fire. Just off a tour of Europe, Wolf Parade will be gigging in the U.S. again come July, hitting both coasts. To help whet your appetites, these indie-minded Canucks are offering up two tracks before Expo 86 hits the stores. The first, “What Did My Lover Say (It Always Had To Go This Way),” is a fast-paced, bluesy, rock number with Dan Boeckner’s voice taking on a Modest Mouse sort of warble. The second, “Ghost Pressure,” is much more poppy and features the synthesizer prominently.

Spencer sings “What Did My Lover Say (It Always Had To Go This Way)” not Dan.
