You might find it hard to believe that Nightlands is the project of just one guy, the multi-talented David Hartley, who happens to hail from MAGNET’s hometown of Philadelphia. The faraway, choral-like vocals and lush instrumentation on tracks like “Suzerain (A Letter To The Judge)” and “300 Clouds” fill a room just as efficiently as any orchestra. Both songs will appear on Nighlands’ debut album, Forget The Mantra, which is out November 9 on Secretly Canadian.
