David is one of my all time favorite songwriters. He is so funny! My entire family have been fans for over 20 years! Cracker, rocks my world at every live concert! AND David is a good guy. This album is much awaited and is on order at my local record store here in Seattle, just for me! I can’t wait!

Just saw David Lowery preform with Cracker AND Camper Van Beethoven two weeks ago. Friggin’ awesome! Very much looking forward to “The Palave Guards”!!

I just voted for David Lowery’s The Palace Guard. I look forward to getting me a copy. Camper Van Beethoven and Cracker are two of my favorite bands.

It’s David Lowery. What else could you want or expect in this day and age of imitators and has-beens? The man with whom we all attained a higher spiritual plane by tapping into our Cracker Soul. Enough said, now go get yourself some.

I like this song from David’s solo album, Palace Guard. It seem to inhabit a world somewhere between Syd Barret (w/out the crazy) and Skip Spence, again, w/out the crazy.

Palace guards is reminiscent of syd barret never made the connection . Thanks, It tapped my Cracker soul , I missed them in little rock I’m A fool that works to hard guess.

I had to vote for David Lowery’s The Palace Guards, good album. Unfortunately I haven’t heard of the others.

I’ll be buying David Lowery’s album the minute it’s available. He’s one of our most talented and unique songwriters. I’ve been a fan of his since the first chords of Telephone Free Landslide Victory. David deserves all the attention he can get.

David Lowery is just about the best singer/songwriter/blogger/guitar slinger in the world. At least in Richmond. Seriously, you don’t know What You’re Missing (see above MC Cracker D reference). Come back to tour Dallas/Austin, man!

None of the hits, all of the time.

I have TWO copies of David Lowery’s The Palace Guards on preorder. So yeah — I can’t WAIT for them to come. Been a fan of Cracker & Camper for a long time. Never even heard of any of those other bands listed.

Admittedly, from this list, I’m a fan of both The Twilight Singers and David Lowery. David, though, has a certain wit and keenness about his work that resonates well with me. I’m really, REALLY looking forward to his solo album!

I have been listening to David Lowery’s music for over 20 years now! I am so excited for his solo release! pre-ordered my autographed copy a month ago!!

THE HOT CLUB OF COWTOWN HAS MY VOTE!!! THEY ARE FANTASTIC!!! AND ELANA JAMES IS HUGELY TALENTED!!!!

I’m very excited by the solo debut from David Lowery. Camper Van Beethoven and Cracker have always been two of my most favorite bands. From the samples I’ve heard so far, this album should appeal to fans of either of those bands, but it also sounds like it’s own thing.

Lowery’s picture should be on the cover of Magnet next week, have a rest from Nick Cave just this once 🙂

Camper Van Beethoven and Cracker are some of my favorite bands ever, and I just wish I could seem them live here in Europe. I can’t wait more for David Lowery’s solo album!

I’m always excited to hear the latest release from John Shipe! One of the best singer/songwriters out there. He does it all… rock, blues, folk, country.

John Shipe’s new album Villain is a sublime mastery that never fails to please. While it is being compared to other greats like Elvis Costello to name one I think it has the artistry of early John Lennon

I’ll agree with many others here – Lowery is an underrated great songwriter. I’ve been looking forward to the solo album for a while. Also looking forward to Todd Snider’s too!

Heard some samples from David Lowery’s new CD Palace Guards. The man is a musical genius. Can’t wait to hear the whole CD.
