On May 17, Chad VanGaalen returns with Diaper Island (Sub Pop), the follow-up to 2008’s Soft Airplane. The dozen-track LP was recorded in VanGaalen’s new, larger home studio and, like his previous three albums, features his illustrations as the artwork. (He has also recently done animated videos for the likes of J Mascis, Guster and Holy Fuck.)
