San Francisco’s Girls return September 13 with Father, Son, Holy Ghost (True Panther). The LP is the follow-up to 2009’s Album and last year’s Broken Dreams Club EP. The duo of Christopher Owens and JR White recorded Father, Son, Holy Ghost in a basement studio in their hometown, and the album’s first single is “Vomit.” Says Owens of the track, “I wrote ‘Vomit’ before Girls was even a band or an idea. This is one of the first songs I ever wrote … What you’re hearing in ‘Vomit’ is someone who is at life’s lowest, seeing the light and becoming a songwriter.” Download “Vomit” below, and catch Girls on tour starting September 14 in Atlanta.
