If Rocky Votolato had reverbed backing vocals, this is pretty close to what that would sound like. Meet Toronto’s Elliott BROOD, which despite obnoxiously using capital letters in its band name, sounds charmingly rooted in gritty folk rock. The three band members harmonize extremely well together, which easily coats all the rough spots in this style of music. The band’s new album, Days Into Years, is reminiscent of a harder Avett Brothers and is slated to drop September 27 via Paper Bag Records. Download album track “If I Get Old” below.
