The Dead Trees left Boston and took to the Pacific Northwest to hone their bright, sunny, lighthearted sound. After supporting tours with the Whigs, MGMT, Albert Hammond Jr. and others, the band felt it was time for change again, landing further south in Los Angeles. “My Time Has Just Begun” is the group’s latest single off the recent, self-released WHATWHAVE. Frontman Michael Ian Cummings calls the track “a jam about seeing the bright side of things even though you have to work crummy jobs and do stuff you don’t really want to do.
