Poor Boy’s Soul, the one-man band of Trevor Jones, has a jangly, unpolished sound that is like nothing else on indie-rock radio today. Although he has drawn comparisons to the Black Keys, Jones’ style is complex and emotional, just like blues should be. “Burn Down,” the title track off his self-released November 15 album, is the best of blue-eyed soul. A gritty, despairing, foot-stomping pleasure of a song, “Burn Down” has all the essentials of a rockin’ country blues track. Download it below.
