From The Desk Of The Twilight Sad’s James Graham: Some Of My Favourite Videos Of Recent Times

On their latest, No One Can Ever Know (FatCat), Scotland’s best musical export since the Jesus And Mary Chain tear down their walls of guitar noise to reveal the icy synths beneath. For fans, it’s a radical departure for the Twilight Sad that’s nevertheless easy to digest, as frontman James Graham’s distinctive Scottish vocals and gloomy lyrical outlook remain front and center. Aphex Twin “Window Licker”
There’s not much I can say about this video that hasn’t been said before. I think it’s great, and that’s all I have to say about that.

Errors “Pleasure Palaces”
This song is from one of my favourite albums so far this year. The album is called Have Some Faith In Magic. I think this is definitely going to be my favourite video this year. We’re good friends with Errors, but I didn’t even recognise it was them in the video.

Arab Strap “The Shy Retirer”
One of my favourite bands. I’ve been on a lot of nights out with Aidan, and he acts like this all the time.

This is good; I like to listen and watch it.

This video is set in Glasgow. I love Glasgow. There’s also a few people I know in this video.

I like this.
