The Mynabirds‘ video for “Disarm,” off Generals (Saddle Creek), is many things: dark, sexy, smoky, a tad bit odd. It’s essentially three-and-a-half wonderful minutes of frontwoman Laura Burhenn dancing in black and white. There’s some sort of bonfire party and a bear/dog headdress. As you watch, you feel as if you’ve been invited to some mysterious party for a select few. The whole production is two shades blacker than most film noir. All in all, just too cool for school.
