This year, Sondre Lerche will have been releasing albums now for a decade. For someone often (and unfairly) pegged as a straight-forward singer/songwriter, that’s an impressive run. Lerche has succeeded due to his remarkable ability to dabble and evolve, culminating in the mature musical voice he is today. “Boxing Day,” off the vinyl reissue of Phantom Punch (out September 4 via Mona Records), is the song you’d imagine your boyfriend writing in your wildest dreams.
