Andrew Bird’s new video for “Give It Away,” off Break It Yourself (Mom + Pop), is a touching story about giving of yourself. Set at a birthday party, a group of children and the birthday boy’s parents watch the day’s entertainment: a living piñata. Though he’s a hit at first (pun intended), concern mounts as he gives more and more candy. After all, we all know what fate awaits a piñata. We don’t want to spoil anything, so you’ll have to watch this excellent, poignant and ultimately heartwarming video yourself.
