Discounting their extended hiatus, the indie gods in Polvo have been around since the early ’90s, and their stop-motion-inspired video for “Light, Raking” (showing a ball of yarn traversing a bright suburban landscape and weaving itself into complex patterns as the melody rises and falls) indicates that it can be difficult to shake the decade’s surrealist aesthetic.
