British singer/songwriter RJ Thompson just released Echo Chamber (it’s available here), and we’re pleased share fourth single “Skimming Stones” today. Says Thompson of the song, “For me, this is my favorite track on the album. Although the album is quite political in its lyrics, this song breaks away and talks about the end of a relationship, about it ending without either person realizing that it was falling apart. I think a lot of people can relate to that feeling: realizing that you’re not the same people as you used to be and don’t share the same path anymore. Thankfully, the relationship in the song is not one of my own, but something that I have witnessed from a distance recently.” Catch Jools Holland on tour now and later in December with Jools Holland, and download and/or stream “Skimming Stones” below.
