When Amy Rigby found out last year’s The Old Guys was named MAGNET’s number-nine album of 2018, she tweeted, “And I thought after getting a brand-new kitchen garbage can this day couldn’t get any better!” Just the kind of response we expected from this criminally overlooked songwriter. On a gorgeous Sunday afternoon earlier this month, the singer/songwriter delivered a glorious selection of tunes from The Old Guys as well highlights from her two-decade solo career. MAGNET photographer Chris Sikich was there, watching the 60-year-old Rigby once again raising the bar.
