Robert Pollard’s Zeppelin may be over China, but Robert Plant’s Sensational Space Shifters just touched down in Philly. Plant and his shape-shifting backing band of the last seven-and-a-half years kicked off their U.S. tour at the Mann Center For The Performing Arts. The setlist included four reworked Zep songs as well as a handful of other covers and originals. Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Sensational Space Shifter Lillie Mae opened. MAGNET photographer Chris Sikich was both shaken and stirred.
