Finished Sympathy: Massive Attack And Friends Celebrate The 21st Anniversary Of Trip-Hop Classic “Mezzanine”

Massive Attack ended its successful, spectacular (and rescheduled) “Mezzanine XXI” tour with two nights at Radio City Music Hall. While Robert “3D” Del Naja and Grant “Daddy G” Marshall are the masterminds behind this legendary British trip-hop act, the night’s showstoppers were Cocteau Twins vocalist Elizabeth Fraser and filmmaker Adam Curtis, who was in charge of the stunning visuals. Add to that reggae legend Horace Andy and covers of songs by the likes of the Velvet Underground, Cure, Bauhaus, Pete Seeger and Ultravox, and you have a show that was well worth the 21 years in the making. MAGNET photographer Wes Orshoski was there and thankful for what he got.
