The members of this Seattle trio—Grant Mullen (guitar, vocals), Gianni Aiello (bass, vocals) and Henry LaVallee (drums)—might be familiar to you because of the time they spent as part of Car Seat Headrest’s live band. But like we’ve said before, Naked Giants loom largest when following their own inspiration. The band’s sophomore album, The Shadow (New West), was one of the best LPs you might’ve missed in the nightmare that was 2020.
