globesonremote566 Sunny California might be the last thing on MAGNET’s mind right now, as our hometown of Philadelphia descends further and further into the winter doldrums. Thankfully, the Los Angeles-based Globes On Remote can warm even the chilliest cynic with its ambitious, dreamy West Coast pop. Reminscent of MGMT’s greatest moments, “Dt. Lipps” is effervescently catchy and subtly sweet. The band self-released its appropriately titled debut, The Woo Hoo Hoo, in November. And with a chant like “Let’s all go ride bicycles” at the song’s end, Globes On Remote is definitely putting a little sunshine back into our lives. And here’s a bonus mp3 from the album: “Space Camp.”
