Even if Sia took time out to pen four songs for pop genie Christina Aguilera’s upcoming album, she still gave 100 percent to her fourth album, We Are Born (Monkey Puzzle/Jive). With some songs written several years earlier with producer Greg Kurstin and later scrapped, Born is full of solid dance pop. First single “Clap Your Hands” gives us a lighter, more jovial Sia, offering some of the post-Jamiroquai funk always prevalent from the blonde, bob-haired singer. More bass-ridden, the funk subsides in Diplo’s remix of the track. The Philly-based DJ, who has reworked Kanye, Gwen Stefani and Radiohead, took Sia’s soft boogie and got literal, adding—what else—real hand claps in the new mix. Download it below.
