Film At 11: Metric

Benefiting from the global tween-driven phenomenon that is the Twilight movie series, Metric has penned a song specifically for the movie soundtrack called “All Yours.” Frontwoman Emily Haines, who also collaborates with Broken Social Scene, resembles one of the otherworldly attractive undead cast members herself, as clips of the film are interspersed with those of her scribbling away in a notebook while wandering around inside a secluded log cabin. Haines’ sweet, tinkling voice complements the soft, well-balanced guitar melodies and drum rhythms reminiscent of the Cardigans. Even if you aren’t a Metric fan, the images of Robert Pattinson’s chiseled visage makes it all worth it.
