Film At 11: Debutaunts

Hailing from the South (originally from Florida and now the musical breeding ground of Hotlanta), alternative-rock foursome Debutaunts has just released its first single, “This Is Yours,” as a teaser for debut album Why Can’t We Have Fun, out August 17 via Architek One. The video features band members deadpanning for the camera while holding up cue cards of the song’s lyrics in an OK Go fashion, while jangly guitars, emotional vocals and danceable beats (reminiscent of the Juliana Theory and Phoenix) serve as the narration for the scene. Mid-song, the cue cards become a fun time-warp window that keep you captivated until the end.
