Chris Shiflett, best known for his work with Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, No Use For A Name and the Foo Fighters, has gone decidedly country with his new band, Chris Shiflett And The Dead Peasants. Not “Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)” country, god forbid, but rather “Folsom Prison Blues” country, the type that gives the impression that the artist might actually have something poignant to say. The band’s self-titled debut album hit shelves recently (via Le Coq Napoleon/RCA), and here’s the video for lead single “Get Along.” (Download an mp3 of the track here.)
