Edwyn Collins is back. The former Orange Juice frontman suffered a pair of life-threatening cerebral hemorrhages in 2005, and it took more than three years for him to be able to even begin writing songs again. And as Collins is Scottish post-punk royalty, some of his famous friends wanted to join in on the making of his seventh solo album. The 12-track Losing Sleep, out in the U.S. on March 22 via Heavenly/Cooperative/Downtown, features songs co-written by the likes of Johnny Marr, Roddy Frame (Aztec Camera), Alex Kapranos and Nick McCarthy (Franz Ferdinand), Romeo Stodart (Magic Numbers) and Ryan Jarman (Cribs, Drums). Check out the video for “Do It Again,” featuring Kapranos and McCarthy, below.
