This spring brings with it Nine Types Of Light (Universal), the latest album from TV On The Radio. The Brooklyn band is also playing Radio City Music Hall on April 13 … Fans of LCD Soundsystem will say their goodbyes April 2 with the group’s three-hour farewell performance at Madison Square Garden. James Murphy and Co. are also doing four dates at NYC’s Terminal 5 in late March … The Flaming Lips are hitting the road next month for a string of U.S. dates, and on April 16 (a.k.a. Record Store Day), the band’s new vinyl boxed set, Heady Nuggs: The First 5 Warner Bros. Records 1992-2002, will be released … Premiering February 17 is the first video chapter from Craig Wedren’s ambitious new project, Wand. It’s an album and interactive film, and the video will feature first single “Are We” with 360-degree panoramic film technology. You’ll be able to watch it on Wedren’s website … R.E.M. has announced a project in which fans can go to the band’s website and remix the song “It Happened Today,” which is off new album Collapse Into Now (due March 8 via Warner Bros.) … On March 15, Alex Turner (of Arctic Monkeys) is releasing a six-track EP via Domino of songs from the film Submarine … Teenage Cancer Trust’s 11th annual week of music and comedy is featuring a special performance from Roger Daltrey on March 24. He’ll perform the Who’s 1969 rock opera Tommy along with other hits … On March 29, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart are releasing their second album, Belong (Slumberland), which will be supported by an extensive spring tour  … Dengue Fever’s fourth album, Cannibal Courtship, is out April 19 via Fantasy/Concord. A West Coast tour will follow … Bob Geldof will be busy next month between the release of his new record, How To Compose Popular Songs That Will Sell (Vagrant), on March 15 and a keynote-speaking slot at SXSW on March 17.
