While the mystery of Twin Peaks may never be totally solved due to cancellation, the shroud over David Lynch’s new album, Crazy Clown Time (Sunday Best), will soon drop. Just like Lynch’s films, the title track plods along with melodic highs and lows, complex lyrical themes and surreal reverberations throughout. A very Lynchian tone punctuates the entire song, particularly due to the slightly unsettling falsetto in which Lynch sings, making the experience somewhat creepy. (Though for a track by David Lynch, perhaps this isn’t surprising.) Crazy Clown Time is out November 8, but you can download the title track below. Sweet dreams everybody.
