Film At 11: Pterodactyl

Few videos can really capture the hazy quality of a song like Pterodactyl’s “The Break,” yet the new clip does a remarkably good job. Composed of roughly 1,500 pictures taken by different people all over the world, the vaguely disjointed “The Break” really complements its backing track. As photos flash before the camera, a handful make up short, stop–motion scenes, giving the viewer a voyeuristic, warm look into someone else’s life. “The Break,” off Spills Out (Brah), is an interesting foray into experimental film, and the image and the audio work together in fantastic ways.
