In the course of his career, Ned Collette has been likened to Leonard Cohen and Ghostface Killah, among others. Make what you will of that, but you can definitely say his sound is hard to pin down. It’s the product of a songwriter who shifted from sonic experiments to pop structures without ever leaving his avant-garde roots behind.
