“Space Ox && Peking Duck” is the latest video from David Kanaga. Says director Andrew Strasser of the clip, it is “all about the size of the human brain. We are easily distracted and capable of confusing real things with unreal things. Even when we are conscious of this confusion, we willfully engage in a two-dimensional experience. I address the nostalgic melodies in David’s music by using recreational imagery and symbolism to distract the viewer and maintain a peace. For me, this connects to the gaming origin of this music and references older forms of games and recreation.” Watch the video below.
