10 years ago today, Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs became the first indie LP to win the Grammy Award for Album Of The Year, beating Eminem, Lady Antebellum, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
Arcade Fire, however, lost Best Alternative Music Album and Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal to the Black Keys.
Guided By Voices said it was an honor just to not be nominated again.
