Deerhoof brings us yet another offbeat music video. Says director Ewan MacLeod, “It’s like a cross between a scene from Tarantino’s Death Proof and The Muppets.” The clip for “Secret Mobilization” involves a chick with a gun, a clunker Volvo in the desert and an alien. Sounds exactly like something Deerhoof should be the soundtrack for. With an opening bass line that pulls you in and cryptic lyrics that will keep you to the end, “Secret Mobilization,” off Deerhoof Vs. Evil (Polyvinyl), will remain running through your head.
