The Occupy Wall Street movement has inspired many outrages, some of a musical caliber. Brooklyn-based rock band This Is The Now, for example, has produced politically charged, sarcastically titled jam “I Wish I Was A Banker.” The anthemic song mocks the too-big-to-fail attitude that’s been branded as one of the reasons for the current economic crisis. Throughout the song, frontman Tiger G’s steely voice drips sarcasm. It epitomizes the cause of the OWS movement, if nothing else because of the hook where he chants “The country’s going broke/The country’s going broke/The country’s going broke/The country’s going broke, yeah right!” Download “I Wish I Was A Banker” below.
