Big Spider’s Back just released its debut EP, Warped (Circle Into Square), a layered, hazy, lysergic handful of home-recorded tunes that sound like Broken Social Scene coming through an old radio on an acid trip. Earlier this year, the Seattle-based Yair Rubinstein contributed to Universal Studios Florida’s fuzzed-out debut, Ocean Sea Birds. Check out the video for the title track to Warped: a bright, grainy, psychedelic montage that looks like it was filmed through one of those Hypercolor shirts from the ’90s.

Are you SURE this isn’t some Japanese girl band called Strawberry Elephant or something?
