Cruel Black Dove offers a post-grunge sound unheard since the ’90s glory days of the likes of Smashing Pumpkins and Garbage. The Brooklyn-based quartet has just self-released its second EP, The Myth And The Sum, and is planning to issue a third in the fall. “Isolation,” the first single from this sophomore release, provides a dreamy landscape of rhythm as the drums pan from left to right on your speakers, with Anastasia Dimou’s vocals channeling Debbie Harry at her best.
