Canadian five-piece Wintersleep released its self-titled debut in 2003. The band’s fourth album, New Inheritors (Labwork), is due out May 18 and is being introduced to listeners via a single for its title track. On it, guitarist Paul Murphy sings with an easygoing spirit that clashes well with lyrics such as “reverberations of reverie” and “soft salutations to the murk.” Wintersleep is riding the success of its 2008 Juno Award (Canada’s highest music honor) for best new group of the year.
