After the release of Like Life (one of MAGNET’s top 25 albums of 2008), Kelly Crisp left her husband and Rosebuds bandmate Ivan Howard and relocated from North Carolina to Brooklyn. While the couple remains divorced, they did decide to keep going with the band, and the result is Loud Planes Fly Low, out June 7 via Merge. So does pain make for great art?
