Oh, the Dandy Warhols. Scenester also-rans or overlooked indie-pop masters? The answer lies somewhere in between, but this live version of “Burned” leans toward the latter. Courtney Taylor-Taylor and his fellow Portland, Ore., bandmates released The Dandy Warhols…Are Sound on July 14, so consider this psych-shoegaze number their Bastille Day offering. Thanks to a satisfyingly spacey sound, “Burned” is more than an excuse to use the name Courtney Taylor-Taylor in an article; it’s actually a pretty good pop song. Imagine that.
