Check out the video for Dan Deacon‘s “Paddling Ghost,” off latest album Bromst (Carpark). Directed by Natalie Van Den Dungen, it features an eye-patched pirate ghost (who also happens to be paddling a boat, of course), a skeleton-devil pirate and an inexplicably juxtaposed, yarn-doll version of Deacon behind the joystick of a flying saucer. If you haven’t heard it already, the song picks and gathers some of the best parts of 2007’s Spiderman Of The Rings, like the vocal cacophony of “Wham City” and the frantic frenzy of “Okie Dokie.”
