Even though the guys in Pissed Jeans use the mundane aspects of everyday life as a muse, their music is anything but. The Allentown, Pa., quartet just put out its third LP, King Of Jeans (Sub Pop), and the band is finally getting the recognition it deserves—and has deserved—since its 2005 debut, Shallow. “Dream Smotherer” is Pissed Jeans at its best, and singer Matt Korvette’s lyrics about having a real nine-to-five are dead-on.
