Stamped with the Bright Eyes seal of approval, Taylor Hollingsworth is like Conor Oberst’s much weirder, much wilder cousin—the one who typically sits at the kid’s table during Thanksgiving. But hey, at least he’s enjoying himself. “I Didn’t Know It Was The Devil” is a high-pitched country number, and the Birmingham, Ala., native sings his quirky little heart out. Hollingsworth’s second solo album, Life With A Slow Ear (Team Love), came out last week, and for anyone who thought Bright Eyes needed a dose of LSD, well, they’ve come to the right place.
