Blending a day in the life of vocalist Elijah Jones with shots of an anticipant crowd waiting for him to grab the mic and blow their minds, the video for “Setback” is a black-and-white homage to Atlanta. The Constellations‘ hometown plays just as central a role in the video as the band itself. On his way to the stage, Jones navigates a few of the ATL’s well-worn rock hotspots—Krog Tunnel, Elliott Street Pub and (ahem) Clermont Lounge—to a psych/pop groove over which Jones talk-sings in a manner reminiscent of Mellow Gold-era Beck. “Setback” is the first single from the Constellations’ Ben Allen-produced debut, Southern Gothic, which arrives in June on Virgin.
