Arp & Anthony Moore‘s “Spinette” is the first single from the third volume in RVNG Intl.’s FRKWYS series, which pairs contemporary artists with elders they admire via remixes, reinterpretations and original collaborations. For this volume, British experimental composer Anthony Moore and New York-based artist Alexis Georgopoulos (a.k.a. Arp) worked on both expanding some of Moore’s earlier material as well as creating some original stuff. “Spinette” is based on an arrangement by Moore, and it’s a lively track with a bouncy momentum that swells in breezy rapture. Simple and bucolic, the song almost transports you to an alternate reality akin to that in The Princess Bride.
