Tired Pony is probably the biggest supergroup you haven’t heard of yet, featuring seven members who have been involved with Snow Patrol, Belle & Sebastian, R.E.M., the Minus 5 and many others. Plus, the band’s debut album, The Place We Ran From (out September 28 on Fiction Records), features appearances from Editors’ Tom Smith and She & Him’s Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward. This video for first single “Dead American Writers” was directed by Paul Fraser and stars very dejected-looking actor Joseph Gilgun.
