Brooklyn’s Titan just released sophomore album Sweet Dreams (Relapse), and it’s all that’s right about present-day prog/psych metal. It’s an epic, five-song journey full of killer guitar riffs, sweet soloing, pulsating synths and some kick-ass rhythm-section work. Sweet Dreams is harder yet prettier than 2007 debut A Raining Sun Of Light And Love For You And You And You, but it’s still unmistakably Titan. The band has a few shows lined up for the end of the month, but meanwhile download album centerpiece “Wooded Altar Beyond The Wander” below. Sweet dreams, indeed.
